I just recently started watching The Bachelor every Monday. I like not knowing who is going to win in the end, even though I do have my very strong opinions about who should be in the end! But this show does give me some mixed emotions. I feel that no woman or man should go on a show to find their soul mate because I dont feel that it works out that way, and as we have seen in recent television shows like this, it never works out in the end. Wonder why? But I also like seeing romance and seeing someone choose the right person in the end, the person who deserves it.
Just yesterday, Monday 8th, I was sitting on the couch watching The Bachelor, when I saw a dramatic preview before a commercial come about what was coming up next, and it involved one of my favorite girls. I was thinking that Ali (one of the girls) was crying to Jake because she was going to tell him that she couldnt do this anymore and that he had to choose her, something silly like that. But, that was not at all what happend.
Ali informed him, that she had to choose between her job that she loves, and this man that she is falling inlove with. I was shocked because that was not what I saw coming. It was crushing to see this girl struggle because here she is, one of the final four girls, choose between two things that she couldnt imagine living without. The reason this was such a hard decision for her, was because what if, she chooses to stay with Jake and leave her job, but in the end he doesnt choose to be with her. She's jobless, manless, and heartbroken. But, the reason she decided to stay, was because this man convinced her that he may be with her in the end.
I have to say, that I am proud for Ali that she took the path of her job. I was very shocked that she didnt stay with Jake, but in the end, he may not have chosen her, then where would she be? The reason I was thinking she was going to stay with Jake, was because that is what I have grown up seeing in TV. I have been exposed to women, choosing men over everything in their life, and maybe in the end things dont work out for the best. But sometimes they do. The reason I am proud of Ali is because she stood up for herself as a women, she didnt want to let a man convince her something, and then do the complete opposite.
I'm not saying that women should always choose a career over love, but I am saying that women should not give in so easily. Don't let a man choose your future for you, stand up for what you want and be okay with it.

Its better to choose a career than to stick around on a reality show with a man who your not sure about. I would recommend choosing love when you have a stable relationship and he is already committed to you. She did the right thing because hey she have a job and maybe she found that one true love.
