I watch Real World, and the Real World/Road Rule challenges every season. I find them addicting and I love the action and drama in the show. But something that never seems to leave this show is how the guys treat the girls.
The girls get treated like they are nothing more than something to sleep with. The guys find them useless and think they serve no purpose on the challenge. A certain challenger on the show is Kenny. He is the complete definition of a narcissistic "asshole". He makes certain statements that make women wonder, is this really what men think?
I love watching some of the girls stand up for themselves and actually hold a good name. But some of them allow the horrible treatment and do nothing about it. I wish some of the girls would understand that even though this is a game, they are women that can do just as well as the guys, if not better.
i guess we will never know why women let guys hang all over them and its okay for them to look lke a slut whose going around throwing herself at guys feet. Maybe attention or because they really want the sex just like the guys want. But i love it when a guy tries to bitch a women around and she stands up too him making him look like a pussy in front of all the other men.
ReplyDeleteMaybe because society universal allows women to belittle themselves to men, as the result men treat some of those women like trash. If the world continues to have these gender roles and pretend that women are inferior to men then most women will continue to think like this. The Real World is a real reality show and real things like the harsh treatment of women take place everywhere around the world.
ReplyDeleteAfter watching this show I have noticed that there are women who are all around better athletes than some of the male competitors but when they beat a male it’s because of luck or because the male made a mistake. Not because she was stronger or outsmarted the male. It is funny to me how the males are the ones who make the alliances and the women go along with it instead of making their own decisions. I would love to see women come together on the show and try to take down the “powerful males.”
